The basic requirements for the system is that it be capable of delivering a flat response at 100db from 30hz to 16k. Signal processors should include gates, compression, reverb and eq. Multiple monitor mixes are appreciated. (5 ideally, but at least 2) The most important thing however will be someone who knows how to use them. Professional sound engineers will make sure that we sound our best, and the audience will appreciate it as well.
After monitor mix check and sound check, we would request that settings are either written down or not touched until performance time. This will help us avoid trying to reset the monitor mixes and house levels once we’ve started our set.
